Brandenburgisches Haupt- und Landgestüt Neustadt (Dosse)
Das Sanssouci der Pferde
Das Brandenburgische Haupt- und Landgestüt ist eines der größten Ge-
stüte Europas. Die hohe kulturhistorische Bedeutung der 1788 von König
Friedrich Wilhelm II. gegründeten größten Gestütsanlage Deutschlands
sowie die züchterische Reputation machen es zu einem Zentrum der
ländlichen Entwicklung.
Zu den Aufgaben des Gestüts zählen die Zucht, Leistungsprüfungen
nach dem Tierzuchtgesetz, die Ausbildung in der Reit- und Fahrschu-
le, die Wahrung des kulturhistorisch wertvollen Erbes und der Tradi-
tionen sowie die Erhaltung der denkmalgeschützten Gestütsanlagen.

A Sanssouci for horses
The Brandenburg State Stud in is one of the biggest in Europe. The cultu-
ral and historical heritage of the stud buildings, erected during the reign
of Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm II in 1788, as well as the high reputa-
tion of the stud for horse breeding, make it an important centre of rural
development.
The activities of the stud including horse breeding, performance tests in
accordance with breeding laws, training in the riding school, preservation
of the cultural and historical heritage and tradition and maintenance of the
historic buildings and yards.

Medizinische Hochschule Brandenburg gegründet
Nach mehrjähriger Entwicklungsarbeit wurde 2014
die Medizinische Hochschule Brandenburg „Theo-
dor Fontane“ (MHB) gegründet. Sie bereichert Bran-
denburg um eine weitere Forschungs- und Wissen-
schaftseinrichtung und bietet erstmalig im Land die
Möglichkeit eines Medizinstudiums. Am Campus in
Neuruppin wird darüber hinaus das Studium der Psy-
chologie angeboten.
Die jüngste Hochschule des Landes wird von mehr als
20 Brandenburger Krankenhäusern und über 35 Lehr-
praxen unterstützt.
Pioneering spirit
Establishment of the Brandenburg Medical School
Following several years of development work, the
„Theodor Fontane“ Medizinische Hochschule Bran-
denburg (MHB) medical school opened in 2014. This
gives Brandenburg another Research and Scientific
institution and, for the first time, provides the oppor-
tunity to study medicine in the German state. At the
Neuruppin campus, students can also opt to study
psychology.
The state‘s newest higher education establishment
is supported by more than 20 Brandenburg hospitals
and over 35 teaching clinics.
